The mainland of the Lakshadweep consists mainly of followers of Islam and therefore the islands celebrate Muslim festivals. While there are indigenous tribes, they are far from human contact and you cannot witness them. Below are the details of the most popular festivals of Lakshadweep:

Eid-ul-Fitr: Celebrated after the holy month of Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr is observed at the end of the Ramadan month. In this month, Muslims abstain from consuming food during the day and eat only after offering Namaz. Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated when the fasting comes to an end and the Muslim community offers prayers before enjoying the festivities with new clothes and delicious food.

Bakrid: Bakrid is celebrated by the Muslim community in reverence to the obedience of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his only son Ismail; however, God intervened and asked him to sacrifice a goat instead. In honour of Prophet Ibrahim, the Muslim community observes Bakrid during which goats are sacrificed and the meat is distributed among family members and friends.

Milad-ul-Nabi: Known as Maild in Lakshadweep, Milad-ul-Nabi is the birthday celebration of Prophet Mohammed. The Eid is celebrated during the third month of if the Islamic calendar. Several religious meetings are held during the day in remembrance of Prophet Mohammed.

Muharram: The Shia Muslim community mourn the martyrdom of the grandson of Prophet Mohammed, Husayn ibn Ali. In commemoration of the martyrdom, Muharram is observed. It is also the first month as per the Islamic calendar.
