Requisites: Flour, 1 cup salt, 1 and ¼ cup water, 1 tbsp glycerin.
Steps:
1. Mix flour, salt, water, glycerin and knead it into an elastic dough (let your kid have fun while making them as he measures the ingredients ). Now your salt dough is ready .
2. Take the dough and divide it into half or quarter.
3. Make the desired shapes of square, rectangle or circle .
4. Bake dough on a tray lined with foil or baking paper in a pre-heated oven at 150 degrees.
5. Thin objects will take at least 1 and 1/2 hours while thicker models taking longer.
6. If the object is turning to brown turn off the oven.
7. Once the object cools down, paint them with poster paints and then a final coat of varnish.
8. Use the play dough to educate your child about the various shapes.
This is a fun filled activity where your kid gets to make something new. He not only enjoys this experience but also hones his creativity skills.
