Your kid is always fascinated with stars, moon and sun in the sky and he always wishes to touch the same. He often asks, 'How many planets are there and how does it become night or morning'? This activity will teach him about the solar system.

Requisites: Cardboard, color glitters, pearls, beads, water colors, threads, few balls, pencils safety scissors and color pens

Steps:

1. Ask your kid the shape of sun, moon and stars. After that draw its shape on a cardboard sheet.

2. Once drawn, help your child to cut these shapes accordingly. After cutting the sheets, let him paint the images as per his knowledge and if he is mistaken then do correct him.

3. Now decorate them with glitters, beads and pearls to make them look real.

4. Take the balls and color them like planets and similarly decorate them.

5. Hand all these cut outs and balls with the help of a thread and needle and place them as they are positioned in the solar system. Do remember to take balls of various sizes.

6. You may show your child constellations and meteors too with the same method.

7. The activity doesn’t end here, now is the real challenge. Prepare a questionnaire on the solar system and ask questions to your kiddo. Keep the answers and language comparatively easier so he understands and can answer.

This will enhance his knowledge, his reasonable, thinking skills and concentration to keep at par with things. A very easy and a great learning activity for your child who will love and enjoy it to the core.
