At this tender age, sleep is the most essential part of your baby’s life to maximize healthy development of the brain and body. Consequently, it is your responsibility to ensure that your little one is sleeping as and when he should.

Mark out a systematic sleep schedule and stick to it. Put down fixed times for going to bed and day time naps. Even if your kid shows no inclination to sleep at the time you have fixed, put him into his bed. Darken the room, lower your voice, and do not play with him. This will send him the signal that it is now time for only sleep, and his body will respond accordingly.
You also need to note at what time your kid is waking up, be it in the morning or after a nap. Try not to let him oversleep too much, because he will then be too wakeful when his next sleep time arrives, and the whole routine will become unbalanced.
