Your bundle of joy will learn important Math skills from his play and routines. You can help him by-

-Counting together. Gather a basket of small toys, shells and count with him.

-Talk to him about 'size' questions. Notice the size of objects around and tell him,’’The chair is the smallest. The lid of this bottle is the biggest.’’

-Sing songs that rhyme, repeat or have numbers in them. Songs reinforce patterns.

-Playing with blocks gives an understanding about shapes and patterns. As he builds the tower using blocks, let him count.-A simple exercise where you teach him the home address, phone number and each house in the neighbourhood having a house number, will get him familiar with numbers.
