It is the most common thing for kids to shy away from owning up things rather than passing the blame on someone else, and your child is no different at this stage. Here, the role of you as a parent is very important and instrumental in imparting these values in your child and it is a must.

Never let your child get away with something if he has done anything wrong. Listen to him and know the whole story. If you feel that your child is at the wrong end then, make sure that he holds himself responsible and confesses his misdoing. Don’t allow him to get away with this. If such an act becomes a habit, then in the long run, he will invariably start blaming everyone else for his wrongdoings. So, this kind of behaviour must be checked right at an early age so that he understands that being truthful is essential for a happy and peaceful life.
