Using veggies and basmati rice, you can prepare yummy and wholesome Basmati Pulao. Veggies like carrot and peas, have vital vitamin and minerals and paneer has protein. All in all, a rice preparation which is ideal for your lunch/dinner meal. You can flavour the aromatic basmati rice with ginger garlic paste and herbs like coriander and mint leaves for an awesome taste.

½ cup basmati rice, ¼ onion, ¼ cup peas, ¼ cup grated carrot, ¼ cup grated paneer, ½ tsp ginger garlic paste, 2-3 sprigs of mint leaves, 2-3 sprigs of coriander leaves, 1 tsp oil, 1 cup water, salt as required
1. Wash the basmati rice well and soak for 15-20 minutes. Drain the water and keep aside.
2. In a kadai, add oil. Once the oil is warm, add finely chopped onion and saute till they turn soft.
3. Add ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw smell goes off.
4. Add grated carrot and paneer and saute well for 2 minutes.
5. Add peas and mix well. 6. Add water and salt and bring the mixture to a boil.
6. Add rice and cook till ¾th is done.
7. Simmer and cook the rice for another 5 minutes.
8. Tasty and healthy basmati pulao is ready. Garnish with coriander and mint leaves.
Give a gentle mix and serve this nutritious pulao.
