Prepare this sweet and delicious Foxtail Millet Murukku for breakfast and kick start your day on a healthy note. The dish is highly nutritious, as it is full of fiber and high in protein.

Ingredients to make Foxtail Millet Murukku:
1 cup thinai flour, ½ cup moong dal, 2 tbsp ghee, 1 cup jaggery, 1 tsp cardamom powder, raisins, roughly chopped cashews
Steps to make Foxtail Millet Murukku:
1. Wash, rinse and soak moong dal for an hour. Grind it to smooth paste
2. Add thinai flour to the paste and knead a smooth non-sticky dough.
3. Grease the murukku maker and fill it with dough. Heat oil in kadai.
4. Press the murukku maker and drop murukkus directly into hot oil. Fry until crisp and golden.
5. Remove and cool them completely. Break them into pieces.
6. Now add jaggery and ghee to a large bowl and heat it.
7. Add 2tbsp water if required. Boil the syrup to attain required consistency.
8. Add cardamom powder, cashews and raisins; mix well. Add the cooled murukku to the pan and coat them with jaggery syrup gently.
9. Drain off the excess syrup and take them out in a plate.
Serve when cooled down and store in airtight container.
