This yummylicious golden rice is full of carbs, proteins, vitamin B. Rice is one of the least allergenic ingredients to be included in diet. These are easy to digest and can be given as lunch or dinner anytime.

1 cup basmati rice, 1 onion chopped, 1 small cinnamon stick, 1 green cardamom, 2 cloves, 2 black peppercorns, 2 tbsp jaggery, 2 tbsp ghee, water, salt
1. Bring 3 cups of water to boil and add the drained out rice, cloves and cardamoms.
2. When it comes to a boil, lower the heat and allow to it to cook.
3. In a heavy based pan heat the ghee and add cinnamon and black pepper. Add onion and fry till it turns golden brown.
4. Add the jaggery and mix well.
5. Now add rice and salt as per taste and mix well. Turn off the flame.
Now serve it. The jaggery and salt will give it a sweet and salty taste and make it more appealing.
