This recipe is an easy, straightforward and a variation of normal kadhi. All the ingredients used in this kadhi are easily available in your kitchen. Okra is a good source of protein, fiber, calcium, zinc, vitamin A, and vitamin C.

1 cup bhindi (okra), 1 tsp chopped ginger, 1 green chilly, 5 curry leaves, 1/4 tsp Fenugreek seeds, 2 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tbsp. oil, 1 cup water, 1 tsp salt, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1½ tablespoons besan, 3/4 cup dahi (yogurt), and 1 tbsp coriander leaves for garnishing
1. Wash the okra and let it dry or wipe them with kitchen towel. Cut it in medium size pieces.
2. Heat the oil in a pan and stir fry okra on medium flame for around 10-15 mins or till it gets cooked and crispy. Keep aside
3. Take a bowl, add yogurt, and besan. Beat it well. Add turmeric powder, salt, and water. Whisk it properly and make a batter. Make sure there are no lumps.
4. Heat oil and crackle hing, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, curry leaves, green chilly and ginger.
5. Transfer yogurt mixture to temper and bring to boil.
6. Add stir fried okra and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
7. Lastly add chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
Serve the hot kadhi to your kiddo with steamed rice.
