This is a super yummy snack for your child. She will just love every bite of it. It can be made in a jiffy to entertain her after school. Snake gourd is good source of manganese, potassium, and iodine.

2 medium size chichinda/snake gourd, 2 medium size onion, 1 tsp. ginger garlic paste, ¼ tsp. turmeric powder, 1 tsp. red chilli powder, 1 tsp. coriander and cumin powder each, ½ tsp. garam masala powder, 4 tbsp. mustard oil, salt as per taste.
1. Scrape and wash chichinda and cut into 2 inch pieces.
2. Steam the pieces with a pinch of salt and turmeric.
3. Scoop the seeds from the center of chichinda and grind them to paste.
4. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until light pink and grind to paste.
5. Heat oil in the same pan and add the seed and the onion paste, add all the other ingredients, mix well and fry till the raw smell fades away.
6. Stuff fried masala into the steamed chichinda pieces and shallow fry in a frying pan until they are golden brown.
Serve hot stuffed chichinda to your child after school with her favourite sauce.
