Treat your champ with this delicious starter made with Indian cottage cheese. Paneer is a good source of calcium, protein, vitamin B12, potassium and selenium.

200 gms paneer, ½ cup onions, 2 tbsp. spring onions, 1 tsp. corn flour, ¼ cup chopped capsicum, ½ tsp. red chilli powder, salt to taste, 1 tsp. black pepper powder, ½ tsp. sugar, 1 tsp. maida, ¼ tsp. chopped garlic and ginger, water as needed, oil for frying, 2 tbsp. tomato sauce
Steps to make Yummilicious Paneer Manchurian:
1. Heat oil in a pan for deep frying paneer.
2. Add maida, salt and chilli powder to a bowl. Add water just enough to make a free flowing batter. Neither too thick nor too runny.
3. Dip the paneer cubes in the batter and deep fry in hot oil.
4. Stir often and fry on a medium heat until golden and crisp. Drain them on a kitchen tissue.
5. Heat 1 tbsp. of oil in a wide pan, add onion and fry for a minute or two.
6. Add capsicum and sauté for another minute, add soya sauce, tomato sauce and stir and add water if needed.
7. Simmer the flame and add sugar, pepper and salt.
8. Allow the sauce to turn thick and switch off the flame.
9. Add the fried paneer and spring onions. Toss the paneer in the sauce well to coat evenly.
Prepare this for today’s snack and enjoy the way your kid relishes each bite
