BS6 TVS Sport Clocks The Highest Mileage

TVS Motor Company has announced that its recently launched BS6 TVS Sport commuter motorcycle has broken the fuel efficiency record. The bike has received the highest on-road mileage achieved by a motorcycle. The motorcycle returned fuel efficiency of 110.12 kmpl. With this record, the bike has entered the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records as well. The TVS Sport beat its own record in 2019 with the BS4 version when the claimed mileage was 76.40kmpl. The feat was achieved when the motorcycle was part of the United Ride Series held between 8th and 13th August 2020. The vehicle was driven for a distance of 1021.90 in 54 laps. During the laps, the motorcycle consumed a total of 9.28 litres of petrol. The TVS Sport draws power from a 110cc single-cylinder engine that is able to punch out a maximum power of 8.2bhp and a peak torque of 8.7Nm which is paired with a 4-speed gearbox. The TVS Sport gets features such as analogue instrument console with an eco meter, DRLs, halogen headlight, premium graphics, telescopic suspension at the front and a 5-step adjustable twin shock absorbers at the rear. The bike comes with six different paint schemes namely, Black Blue, Mercury Grey, Black Red, While Purple, Volcano Red and White Red. The bike is priced at Rs. 53,700 for the kick-start variant, while the self-start variant is priced at Rs. 60,225. All prices are ex-showroom.
TVS Motors Launches BS6 TVS Sport in India

TVS Motors has launched the BS6 compliant TVS Sport motorcycle in India with an ex-showroom price of Rs.51,750 for the base variant. Apart from the introduction of the fuel injection feature on the BS6 TVS Sport, the motorcycle boasts of other updates with the company stating that the motorcycle now offers more mileage. The new BS6 TVS Sport now features a revised engine with the 109.7cc mill now churning out 8.29hp and 8.7Nm of peak torque which is mated to a 4-speed gearbox. The BS6 Sport is now heavier by 1.5kg and the ground clearance is increased by 5mm from 170mm. Also, the bike now gets LED DRLs and tubeless tyres.
