Sagu Manda is a kind of sago cutlet made with sago, potato, green peas, beetroot, and is a nutritious and tasty snack. The cutlets are loaded with multi-vitamins, fibre, carbs, and other nutrients.

1 cup sago, 1 boiled potato, ½ cup chopped carrot, ½ boiled peas, ½ cup grated beetroot, chopped coarinder leaves, 2 green chillies chopped, 1 tsp mango ginger, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp fennel seeds, oil, salt to taste
1. Soak the sago for 4-5 hours.
2. Wash, strain the excess water. Add salt, mash little and keep aside.
3. Heat a pan and add 1 tbsp oil or ghee. Add cumin seed and let it crackle.
4. Add green chilli, beet root, green peas and carrot. Sprinkle salt and fennel powder. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Peel the boiled potato and mash it.
5. Add the mashed potato, mango ginger and coriander and mix it all together.
6. Heat water in a steamer and grease the idli stand. Rub your palms with oil.
7. Make small balls out of sago dough and flatten with hand. Stuff the dough with veggie mixture. Cook the mandas in idli stand for 5 minutes on high flame.
Serve with the dip of your child's choice.
