Can I cancel my Acko Policy and seek a refund before the commencement of the risk?

Yes. A no-questions-asked, full refund of your premium will be initiated if the policy has not commenced, i.e. prior to coverage/policy start date.

Can I cancel my Acko Policy and seek a refund, if the coverage/policy has commenced?

Yes, only if the policy is within the free look period i.e. 30 days from you receiving the policy.

How much will I be paid on Free Look Cancellation?

The insurance company may not refund the entire payment you make to them. The following deductions are likely to be made: • Proportionate risk premium, i.e., a premium amount that is proportionate to the risk covered for the number of days the policy was active. • Costs associated with stamp duty • Insurers' costs incurred on medical examinations (if any)

How do I cancel my Acko Policy?

What is the refund timeline?*

15 business days from the policy cancellation date via the original payment mode.
