To pay your Maharashtra traffic challan via the official Parivahan portal, follow these step-by-step instructions: 

  • Visit the Official Website: Go to the official e-challan portal of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) at https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in/.
  • Select "Check Challan Status": Look for the "Check Online Service" menu on the homepage and select "Check Challan Status".
  • Enter Required Details: You will be prompted to enter one of the following to fetch your challan details:

           1. Challan Number

           2. Vehicle Number (along with the engine/chassis number)

           3. Driving License (DL) Number

  • Enter Captcha: Input the security captcha code as displayed on the screen.
  • Get Details: Click on the "Get Details" button.
  • View and Select Challans: Your pending challans, if any, will be displayed. Each entry will show the violation type, fine amount, and a "Pay Now" option. Select the specific challan(s) you wish to pay.
  • Initiate Payment: Click on the "Pay Now" option to proceed to the payment gateway.
  • Choose Payment Method: Select your preferred mode of payment from the available options, such as, Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI ,etc
  • Complete the Transaction: Follow the on-screen instructions to securely complete the payment.
