If you want to check your bike insurance status, just enter your vehicle's registration number on the VAHAN portal, it will immediately display your insurance company's name, policy validity, and expiry date. Alternatively, you may check through your insurance company's website, the IIB portal, your local RTO, or even by sending an SMS to VAHAN.
You can check your bike insurance status and expiry date online using your vehicle registration number by four ways:
Through Parivahan Sewa website
Through ACKO
Via IIB portal
Via RTO/SMS
Go to the official Parivahan Sewa website.
Click on the "Know Your Vehicle Details" tab in the main menu.
Enter your registered mobile number to generate an account and log in.
Type in your bike’s registration number (e.g., KA01AB1234) and the security captcha code.
Click on "Search Vehicle" to view your records.
The system will show your "Insurance Valid Upto" date and the name of your insurance provider.
To check two-wheeler insurance status online using ACKO, here is what you need to do:
Scroll up and enter your bike registration number in the search box, or click "Check Now" from the floating menu.
Enter your bike details.
Click on your current policy status to view your bike insurance validity and expiry date,
Visit the IIB’s official website.
Under the “Quick Links” section of the home page, select “V-Seva”, and you will be directed to the Accident Vehicle Information Retrieval System page.
Enter all the mandatory fields with relevant information such as your name, email address, mobile phone number, address, bike registration number, and accident details (if the bike was involved in an accident).
Enter the text from the image and click on “Submit” to view the expiry date of your bike insurance policy.
Here is how you can perform two wheeler vehicle insurance status check online via RTO:
Send an SMS in the format VAHAN <registration number> to the VAHAN SMS service (7738299899) to receive vehicle and insurance details.
Alternatively, visit your state RTO's website and use the vehicle search tool with your registration number.
