According to the Uttar Pradesh Police Traffic Directorate, fines worth ₹450 crore were generated across Lucknow, Kanpur, and Ghaziabad in the same period, reflecting the state’s rapid transition to a paperless e-challan Uttar Pradesh process.

To check your Uttar Pradesh (UP) traffic challan status via the official Parivahan portal, follow these steps:
1 .Visit the official e-Challan portal: Go to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) official e-Challan Parivahan website.
2 .Navigate to "Check Challan Status": On the homepage, look for the "Check Online Services" tab in the menu and select "Check Challan Status" from the dropdown menu.
3 .Enter details: You can search for your challan using one of three options:
