Applying at a Bank Branch or POS Location

Many banks issue FASTags through their branches and authorised Point-of-Sale (POS) centres, including toll plazas.

You can usually get the FASTag on the same day
The process takes about 15 to 30 minutes if all your documents are in order
You will need your Registration Certificate (RC), address and ID proof, and a passport-sized photo
Go-to method for those who prefer in-person service

Applying Online via a Bank or Government Portal

You can also apply for FASTag online through your bank's website or the official government portals.

It typically takes 3 to 7 working days for delivery
You will need to upload scanned copies of your RC and KYC documents
Once approved, the FASTag is shipped to your registered address
This option requires you to wait a few days for delivery and activation

Buying at a Toll Plaza

In some locations, FASTags are available at toll plazas, especially on major highways.

You may get it within 30 minutes if stock and staff are available
Basic KYC and vehicle documents are still required
