  • Step 1: Visit the Provider’s Official Website or Download the App
    Once you visit the provider’s official website or finish downloading their app, navigate to the ‘Services’ tab. 
  • Step 2: Log in to Your FASTag Account
    Click on the ‘Customer Login’ or similar options to enter your username or password. Generally, you receive these details through your registered email or phone number when you first register for an account.
  • Step 3: Navigate to the Account Management Section
    This section is labelled as “Manage Your Account”, “Support”, or “Customer Service”. Select the “Deactivate” option after navigating to this section.  
  • Step 4: Provide the Required Information
    Enter the necessary information, which includes the FASTag account number, the IFSC code of your linked bank account, and a copy of a cancelled cheque from the same account.

2. Vehicle Theft

In the unfortunate event of vehicle theft, you must know how to close a FASTag account. Otherwise, any balance will be used in an unauthorised manner, resulting in toll penalties. 

3. Loss of the FASTag Card
