Hand printing is your kid's favorite activity. He just loves messing with colors. One such craft involving hand printing is making parrots. Make this super fun craft with your kid and have fun messing with colors together. Don’t forget your aprons!!
Requisites: White chart paper, brown cardboard, white A4 size paper, plates, poster colors, sketch pens, crayons, medium size googly eyes, scissors and glue.
Steps:
1. For making tree- Take the brown cardboard and draw the shape of the tree and its branches with a sketch pen.
2. For making feathers- Pour different poster colors of your choice in different plates. Take white chart paper and spread it flat. Dip your palm in the color and make your hand print on the chart. Repeat it until sufficient numbers of hand prints to make the parrots are done.
3. With the help of a scissor, cut the hand prints cut-outs carefully.
4. Take A4 size drawing sheet, draw and cut the shape of the parrot’s head. Now draw the lines on one side to make the face. Using crayons fill in the color. Next, glue the googly eyes on the colored side of the parrot’s head.
5. Now glue the hand print cut-outs on the lower section of the parrot’s head. Make as many parrots as you like.
6. Stick all the parrots to the branches of the cardboard tree.
Your hand print parrot craft is ready! Enjoy making this together with your child and other family members. With this you can enjoy and have interactive activities like match the colors, count the fingers, show and tell, identify the colors, etc. with your kid.
