Your child is now more aware of time and timeliness. Here’s a fun activity that lets him create a clock of his own, buzzing his creativity and it also stresses on the importance of time.

Requisites: One paper plate, black marker, scissors, coloured paper, pencil, paper fastener.

Steps:

1. Make a hole in the centre of the paper plate. Then ask your child to write down numbers from 1 to 12 using the marker.

2. Then cut two arrows out of the coloured paper. One long arrow for the hour hand and a shorter one for the minute hand.

3. Pierce the ends of the arrows with the paper fastener, slide it through the hole in the centre of your clock face, and secure it at the back.

4. Now teach your child how to read time on the clock.You can randomly say a time and ask him to set in on the clock too.

Telling time always becomes easier with practice…and time of course! Let your child practice reading time using his own clock.
