Set Up A Sleep Routine

    • At this stage, setting up a sleep routine is very important for your little one so that he gets the adequate rest and actively participates in the day to day activities.

    • Follow a consistent bedtime ritual that gives your child the message it is time to get ready for sleep. The bedtime ritual should be done 15 to 20 minutes before his sleeptime. This includes brushing teeth, wearing a comfortable night wear(pajamas), reading a story before he sleeps off. He can have his favourite teddy or blanket next to him (if any).

    • Ensure the lighting, temperature in the room  is apt for him to sleep. Keep a noise free environment.

    • Avoid rocking, singing, feeding him to sleep. Your aim is to get him to fall asleep on his own once the bedtime ritual is over.

    • Be firm and follow the schedule consistently. Your child loves routines as it gives him a sense of control by predicting what’s next.
