Visit the Parivahan website and click the ‘e-challan system’. Enter your vehicle’s registration number, followed by the last 5 digits of the chassis number or engine number to get the details of your e-challan.
If you ignore a traffic challan, a constable may come to your home to collect the fine. In case you still ignore and do not pay the fine, you will receive a court summons. If you ignore the summons, your driving licence will be suspended.
You must pay the e-challan within 60 days from the date of issue.
As per the Motor Vehicles Act, any police officer who has been given the required power by the state government has the authority to issue challans.
