How to Renew Driving Licence in Mumbai?

Team AckoJul 27, 2023

To legally drive a motor vehicle in Mumbai, you must hold mandatory documents like a valid Driving Licence (DL), valid car/bike insurance certificate, etc.

Your licence has to be specifically for the class of vehicle you want to drive.

Traffic Police are authorised to levy hefty fines on people driving with invalid or expired DL in the city. So, you must hold an accurate DL, and if it is expired, get it renewed on time to avoid penalties.

Thankfully, it is pretty simple to renew Driving Licence in Mumbai. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) offers both online and offline procedures to complete the DL renewal process.
