Remember kicking in the water and splashing water everywhere, making little puddles? Here is an activity wherein you can make your baby have fun in splashing while it also develops his gross motor skills effectively.
Steps:
1. Use a small baby bath tub and fill it with 4-6 inches of warm water.
2. Make your baby lie down in the water and keep his head above the water level. Make sure his head is high, so that water does not enter through the ears.
3. Let him kick his legs in the water. When he realizes it's him making the splashing sound, he will enjoy it more and start kicking faster. Soothe and assure him if he feels scared.
Splashing water is a fun game at any age. Maybe use a bigger bath tub and you too can have fun with your baby. While the baby enjoys kicking the water, it helps him strengthen the bones and muscles in the legs.
