This activity will teach your kid to make monkeys. He will learn to place body parts correctly. He will hone his motor and creative skills during this task.
Requisites: (For 1 Monkey: can adhere to their brown color or for more some color fun use different shades for each monkey) 2 large pom-poms, 2 small pom-poms, 2 googly eyes, 1 pipe cleaner, glue or hot glue.
Steps:
1. Assemble all the pom-poms in a shape of monkey.
2. Cut the pipe cleaner in three equal parts.
3. Make a ‘V’ shape of one piece of pipe cleaner and paste it at the bottom of one large pom-pom.
4. Paste another piece of pipe cleaner on the top of the same pom-pom and bend and shape its arms.
5. Paste the other large pom-pom on top of it.
6. Paste last piece of pipe cleaner on the back side of the lower body of the monkey in center and make its tail.
7. Paste the small pom-poms on each sides of the upper body to form ears.
8. Paste googly eyes.
Repeat the same to make other monkeys. Add them each by slightly bending their hands.
With this activity, your naughty munchkin will understand the concept of assembling, placing the body parts rightly. It will help your child to hone his motor skills as well.
