When Can Your Little One Start Having Eggs?

Team AckoFeb 8, 2024

Your child is more than ready for some protein intake at this point. Now that your little one is enjoying some solid foods, you can start feeding him egg yolk from his 9th month. Full egg can be given to him once he completes the milestone of 1 year.

Egg is a complete food. And at this age your child is in need of more protein rich diet. However, egg is also a food that causes allergies in may children. So, when you start giving egg, ensure that you start in the afternoon and not in the night, so that you have time to act if anything goes wrong. Be little careful and look for symptoms. If your child doesn’t react to it, keep continuing. But if the child develops rashes, loose motion or vomiting,  stop giving egg immediately. If the condition is under control, no need to worry. Otherwise seek medical help. While you know that egg is a great food, but sadly, some kids do develop aversion to it. It may be a temporary phase or can even be a permanent one. So, be little careful when you decide to give egg to your child.
