Navane Sari/ Foxtail millet khichidi Quinoa(Foxtail millet) is actually a seed; but can be prepared like whole grains like rice. Navane Sari/ Foxtail millet khichdi is a quick and easy recipe to prepare and it provides a complete nutritious diet to your little one.

1 cup Quinoa (Foxtail millet), 2 tbsp oil/ ghee, ½ cup Channa Dal, 3 tbsp of chopped French Beans, carrot, green peas, 2 tsp cumin seeds (coarsely ground), ½ tsp pepper powder, ¼ tsp grated ginger, 5 curry leaves, 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves, salt to taste and water as requied
1. Wash and soak Quinoa (Foxtail millet) and Channa Dal for 10 minutes.
2. In a pressure cooker, add Quinoa, Channa Dal, chopped French Beans, carrot, green peas, pepper powder, grated ginger, curry leaves, chopped coriander leaves, salt to taste and water as required to cook well.
3. Cook it for 3 whistles. In a tempering pan, add ghee and allow cumin seeds to splutter and add them to the khichidi and mash well.
