Banana fritters, popularly known as Aratikaya Pakora in South India are rich source of fibre, vitamins, and minerals. These crispy and tasty pakoras are made with unripe bananas.

1 raw banana, ½ cup besan, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 2 tbsp rice flour, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp turmeric, salt, water, oil
1. Wash, peel and slice raw banana. Add them to water.
2. Prepare the batter by mixing besan, rice flour, cumin, red chilli powder, turmeric, salt. Add little water in parts to make lump free batter. The batter should be thick.
3. Drain the banana slices and pat dry on kitchen towel.
4. Heat oil in a deep skillet; dip the banana slices in the batter and drop in the hot oil.
5. Fry till golden and crisp.
Serve the Aratikya Pakora with coconut chutney or green chutney.
