Bottle gourd is a vegetable high on water and is a rich source of vitamin C, K, and calcium. It helps in maintaining a healthy heart. The juice of bottle gourd is also beneficial as it stabilizes the blood sugar level and maintains blood pressure. Bottle Gourd Dosa is a healthy breakfast choice for most households and you should definitely give it a try.

Ingredients to make Bottle Gourd Dosa:
Bottle gourd-3 medium, rice-2 cup, urad dal-1 cup, salt-to taste and oil-1/4 cup
Steps to make Bottle Gourd Dosa:
1. Wash and Soak rice and urad dal for 3-5 hours.
2. Cut bottle gourd to small chunks.
3. In a mixer take soaked rice, urad dal and bottle gourd. Add water and grind all to get asmooth batter. Lastly add salt to the batter and mix well.
4. Allow the batter to ferment overnight or for 4-8 hours.
5. Heat a tawa. Grease with oil. Pour a laddle full of batter. Make it thick or thin dosa as you wish. Spread it in circular direction. Drizzle few drops of oil or ghee around it. Cook on medium flame for about 1-2 mins.
Serve hot with chutney and sambhar.
