Cabbage is very low in Saturated Fat and Cholesterol. It is also a good source of Thiamin, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus and Potassium, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin B6, folate and Manganese. Whereas peas are a good source of protein and fibers. Cabbage and Peas Hummus is a very tasty side dish that can be prepared and stored for 1-2 days in the refrigerator.

Cabbage-1 small, fresh peas-½ cup, turmeric powder-1 tsb, oil-2 tsp, salt-to taste and chickpeas-½ cup
1. Wash and cut the cabbage.
2. Boil the cabbage, green peas, and chickpeas with a pinch of salt till they become tender.
3. In the bowl of a food processor, pulse together boiled cabbage, green peas, chickpeas, turmeric powder, water, and salt until smooth, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
4. With the motor running, drizzle in the oil and continue processing until the mixture is a smooth puree.
Transfer the hummus to a bowl and serve immediately with crackers.
