Kheer is a delicacy that is much-loved by all. This is prepared with black rice, which is loaded with fiber, amino acid, minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants.

5 tsp. black rice, 4 cups milk, ½ tsp. green cardamom powder, ½ cup nuts, sugar to taste
1. Soak the rice overnight to cook faster. Pressure cook the rice with enough water for 2 whistles and then cook on low flame for 15 minutes or until the rice is cooked well.
2. Heat milk in a pan and when it starts to boil add the rice. Stir in between while cooking on a low flame.
3. Cook till the milk looks rich and creamy. Add sugar and cook till it dissolves completely while stirring occasionally.
4. Add the nuts and cardamom powder and remove from fire.
Serve Chakhao Kheer garnished with nuts.
