Chatpati is a famous snack of Gujarat. This is a very light snack and easy to digest for your kid. It is also healthy as it is less oily, and is loaded with healthy carbs, fiber, and protein.

2 cups puffed rice (kurmura), 1 tsp. oil, 7-8 curry leaves (kadi patta), 1 tbsp.coriander (dhania) leaves, ½ tsp. sugar, ¼ tsp. mustard seeds, ¼ tsp cumin seeds, ¼ tsp. turmeric powder, Salt to taste, a pinch of asafoetida, ½ tsp. lemon juice, water as required.
Steps to make Chatpati:
1. Wash puffed rice in a bowl and keep it aside for 5 minutes.
2. Heat oil in a medium sized pan and add mustard seeds when it starts to crackle add cumin seeds, asafoetida, turmeric, curry leaves and sauté for 2 minutes.
3. Add puffed rice, salt and sugar and sauté for another 2 minutes. Add lemon juice and garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve Kurmura Chatpati to your child as an evening time snack.
