There are several chicken recipes which are famous in India, but Chicken Kuzhambu holds a taste which is simply fantastic. This recipe will surely pull everyone to the dining table. Chicken is indeed the prime ingredient and is a good source of protein, protein, iron and Vitamin B-6. Apart from this, the recipe also has coconut which offers carbohydrates, Vitamin C and potassium.

Ingredients: Chicken with bones ½ kg, 1 medium onion, 10 small onion, 1 juicy tomato, ghee tbsp, red chili powder 1 tsp, coriander powder ½ tsp, turmeric powder, ¼ tsp, salt, water 1 cup.
To Temper: Cinnamon, Bay leaves 1/2, cardamom 1/2, green chili 1 slitted, curry leaves, oil 1 tbsp, garlic cloves 4 finely chopped.
To Grind: Fresh grated coconut ¼ cup, cashew nuts 3, fennel seeds ½ tsp, pepper corns ½ tsp, split roasted gram ¾ tsp.
Steps:
1. You need to first grind the ingredients mentioned in the “to grind” category. Prepare a fine taste. Keep it aside.
2. Clean and wash the chicken. Keep it aside.
3. Take a pressure cooker and add oil as well as ghee. To this add all the ingredients mentioned under “to temper”. Fry the content for 2 mins.
4. To the pressure cooker then add onion and tomato.
5. Next step is to add chicken with garam masala, red chil and coriander powder. Cook the content for 3-5 minutes.
6. Add salt as per your need.
7. Final step is to add 1 cup of water. Pressure cook the content for 3-4 minutes. Add coconut paste as one pressure releases.
8. Cook the content for 10 more minutes.
Serve hot with rice. This is a splendid recipe which should be tried today!
