Urad dal(whole) - ½ cup, asafoetida - 1/4 tsp, salt - ½ tsp, coriander and curry leaves chopped-2 tbsp, rice flour - 1-2 tsp, oil - To deep fry
1. Soak urad dal for 2-3 hours and grind with a little water until fluffy and smooth.
2. Add salt, asafoetida, coriander and curry leaves, and rice flour, and mix well.
3. Heat oil. Make small balls from the batter and drop in oil carefully. Lower the flame and cook on both sides until golden in colour. Serve hot.
