Try this recipe, which can be used with south Indian dishes or can be sprinkled over stir fried veggies or on any snacks. Flax seeds contain a good amount of protein, fiber, and omega-3 fatty acids.

1 cup flax seeds, 3 whole dry Kashmiri red chiles, 2 tsp cumin seeds, and salt to taste
1. In a heavy bottomed pan , dry roast the flax seeds and red chilles separately on a medium flame for 2 minutes. Stir it in between. Keep them aside.
2. Now dry roast the cumin seeds for a minute while stirring it once. Keep it aside too.
3. Blend all the ingredients together along with salt in a mixer to coarse powder.
Store in an air-tight container and refrigerate. Use as required.
