A great way to make delicious fruit desserts. Try our delectable recipe for Gatthal ka Halwa. Gatthal or jackfruit is full of vital nutrients such as vitamin B6, vitamin C, fibre and potassium.

Jackfruit seeds - 250 gm, Mawa (Khoya) - 100 gm, Ghee - 2 tbsps, Milk – 1 cup, Sugar - 150 gm, Cashew Nuts - 20 chopped, Raisins - 25 to 30, Small Cardamom - 4 to 5, Almonds – 8-9 chopped
1. Wash the jackfruit seeds and boil them. Cool and peel them. Blend the peeled seeds to a pulp.
2. Heat ghee, add the blended jackfruit seeds and stir on low flame for 15 minutes till light brown.
3. Add mawa and cardamoms and cook for another 7 to 8 minutes.
4. Add milk, sugar, cashew nuts and raisins while stirring constantly. Cook for another 4-5 mins and serve.
