Home-made Quail Pie

These plump little birds make excellent eating to your Princess, but their flesh is firm and should be parboiled before roasting. This is very easy and delicious recipe. Quail is a good source of essential vitamins and dietary fibers.

Ingredients to make Home-made Quail Pie:

1 quail, 1 boiled and mashed potato, cow milk as required to make pastry dough, 1 tbsp butter, 2 tbsp boiled peas, 2 tbsp grated cheese, ½ cup Atta-wheat

Steps to make Home-made Quail Pie:

1. Cook the quail in a preheated oven at 175 degrees until golden and crisp.

2. Shred the quail into fine stripes.

3. In a saucepan, heat butter and mix the potatoes, peas and ¾ grated cheese and the quail and sauté for few minutes and remove from fire.

4. Make small balls from pastry dough, roll it into thin strips and fill in this mixture and wrap it into a desired shape ensuring that all the edges are secured with a dough paste.

5. Prepare with the rest of the dough and place them in a baking tray and bake them for 30 to 40 minutes or until they are golden brown.

6. Allow to rest and then turn out on to a large serving plate.
