You will lip-smack this Imli ki Chutney as it is both sweet and sour to taste. It is an essential accompaniment to most chaats. It is a good source of calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus.

1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, 2 tbsp tamarind paste, salt to taste, 1 tsp. dry ginger powder (sonth powder), 1 tsp chili flakes, 1 tsp. roasted masala powder
1. Combine all the ingredients in a thick bottomed saucepan and boil and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
2. Cool slightly and strain the mixture using a sieve
3. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate to use for a month.
Serve Imli ki Chutney with favourite snack.
