Masala paniyaram is a South Indian snack item. It will not only serve as a yummy treat but also will lend a lot of nutrition as it is made using idli batter, which is rich in carbohydrates, dietary fibre, protein, Vitamin B6, iron, calcium and magnesium.

Ingredients: 2 cups idli batter, 1 onion finely chopped, 2 green chillies finely chopped, ½ inch ginger finely chopped, a pinch of hing, ½ tsp black pepper powder, ¼ tsp chilli powder, 2 tbsp. chopped curry leaves, ½ cup grated coconut, salt.
Steps:
1. Mix all the ingredients in the idli batter and mix well.
2. Heat the paniyaram cooker and pour a little oil in the moulds.
3. Pour the batter into the moulds and cook till both sides of the paniyaram are crisp and golden.
Remove from the pan and serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar. So cook up this delicious snack by trying out this recipe today!
