Mousse

Pomegranate Mousse is a wonderful dessert, which your kiddo would totally love. You can make the mousse using fresh pomegranate juice or store bought. The mousse has a wonderful taste of the pomegranate. It is smooth and creamy, plus healthy too.Pomegranate helps in curing dysentery and diahhorea in babies. It also cures dental problems and also improves liver functioning.

Ingredients to make Mousse:

2 large pomegranates, 5 to 6 tablespoon sugar: Adjust to taste, 10 to 12 strands of Agar Agar, 2 cups of cow milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

Steps to make Mousse:

1. Remove the arils from the pomegranates.

2. Reserve some for garnish.

3. Blend the arils in a blender and then strain the juice.

4. Chop the agar agar to small pieces with kitchen scissors.

5. Soak the agar agar in 1 cup water.

6. After 5 minutes, in a saucepan, cook the agar agar-water mixture on a medium flame stirring the mixture.

7. First boil and then simmer for 10-15 minutes till the agar agar melts.

8. The water will reduce and you should see a gelatinous liquid mixture.

9. Switch off the flame and pour 2 cups of milk.

10. Stir and add pomegranate juice and sugar.

11. Stir again and just warm the mixture.

12. Don't heat or boil. the mixture should just get warm. Once the milk becomes warm, add vanilla powder or vanilla extract.

13. When the mixture is still hot, pour in serving glasses or bowls.

14. Let the mousse cool down at room temperature.

15. Then place them in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours, till the pomegranate mousse sets.

16. Garnish with some pomegranate arils.
