Pithas made from moong dal are delicious and healthy for your child. These pithas are easy to digest when compared with urad dal pithas.

Contents
1 cup moong dal, 2 cups water, 1 cup sugar, 1 tsp cardamom powder, 4 tbsp ghee, oil for deep frying
1. Rinse and soak moong dal for about an hour. Grind it to a fine paste. Add little water to make a fine paste.
2. Boil water in a deep pan. Add sugar and stir till it completely dissolves.
3. Add the ghee and cardamom powder to the pan. Add moong dal mixture to the pan and stir continuously.
4. Cook till it becomes a mass. Test the batter if it is cooked or not. Take a spoon full of batter and drop it on water. If it floats, it is ready.
5. Spread the mixture on to a greased plate. Let it cool and cut it in desired shape.
6. Heat oil in a skillet and deep fry the pithas.
Serve hot.
