This is a well-known chutney that is popular in South India and works well with idli, dosa, rice, and uttapam. It has a unique flavor that comes from curd and other spices added to it. So do try this amazing chutney with a lovely taste.

5 tbsp chana dal, 2 tsp oil, 1/4 chopped ginger, salt as per taste, 1/4 cup curd, 1/4 tsp mustard seeds, 3-4 curry leaves
1. Take a pan and add chana dal to it. Dry roast the dal on medium flame for 2 minutes.
2. Transfer it to a plate and allow it to cool down.
3. Take a blender, blend the dal along with ginger and salt.
4. Take a bowl and add this powder. Add curd and 1½ tbsp of water to this powder. Mix it well.
5. Now heat some oil in a pan and add curry leaves and mustard seeds to it.
6. Pour this tempering on the mixture in a bowl and mix well.
You can store this chutney in an airtight jar for few days in fridge.
