An authentic sweet recipe from Uttrakhand made of wheat flour, jaggery, milk and fennel seeds, this dish is crispy, tasty, and very flaky. Your child will love its taste and can digest it easily as well.

1 cup whole wheat flour, 1/4 cup cold milk, 3 tbsp ghee, ½ tsp cardamom powder, 1 tsp aniseed, 1 cup jaggery, water as required.
1. Take wheat flour, aniseeds, cardamom powder and ghee in a deep bowl. Mix well.
2. In another bowl mix jaagery with little water. Heat and let jaggery dissolve in it.
3. Once jaggery gets dissolved, strain the impurities and let the mixture cool down.
4. Add cold milk and jaggery syrup the wheat flour mixture. Make a soft dough with it.
5. Now make small balls of the dough and roll each ball into a thick roti.
6. Heat a tawa and cook the roat from both sides till crisp. Apply ghee while cooking.
Serve hot.
