Saffron halwa is one the most favourite dishes of the the kids and the parents out there.It is rich in calcium, iron, magnesium and has zero cholestrol. It is also an easy and quick dish.

Contents
1 cup semolina flour, 2 cups water (1:2 proportion with semolina), 3/4 cup of sugar(or according to taste), 10 almonds, 1 pinch cardamom powder, 1 pinches saffron
1. Pour some oil in a deep frying pan and heat it.
2. Put chopped almonds and fry it for one minute till it turns light brown at a low flame.
3. Add a cup of rava and fry it till it cooks or till you get a fragrance.
4. Add water, sugar and soaked saffron strands and stir it until you get the right consistency in low flame.
5. Add cardamom powder and stir it for a minute.
6. It can be served at room temperature or cold.
You can add a variety of nuts to this or add ghee instead of oil for a diiferent flavour.This yummy halwa is a lip-smacking snack!
