Sesame Seeds Balls in a plate is a healthy and awesome traditional sweet, which is prepared mainly during festivals like Lohri and Makarsankranti. Sesame seeds are a good source of protein, vitamins, and minerals. Along with jaggery, which is a good source of carbohydrates, you can make this sweet. The taste of this sweet is enhanced when flavoured with ghee, which has healthy fats.

1 cup sesame seeds, 3 tbsp ghee, 1 cup jaggery, ½ cup water
1. In a flat pan, dry roast the sesame seeds on medium heat till they turn light brown and release a good aroma. Keep aside.
2. In the same pan, put water and jaggery. Melt the jaggery to form a thick syrup.
3. Add the roasted sesame seeds to the jaggery syrup and give a good mix. Add ghee too. Stir well and switch off the flame.
4. Grease your palms and when the mixture is not very hot, just warm, take a small portion of the mixture and roll between palms till smooth.
5. Lay the sesame seeds balls on a greased plate to cool. Repeat the same process till the entire mixture gets used up.
Tasty and nutritious sweet is ready to relish and enjoy. You can store this sweet in an air tight container for about 10 days.
