Aloo tikkis are a popular snack dish in North India. This recipe is a Sindhi recipe that allows you to use potatoes, which are a rich source of potassium, carbohydrates, dietary fibre, proteins, Vitamin C, iron, calcium, Vitamin B6 and magnesium, to make a delicious snack.

Ingredients: 3 potatoes, boiled and mashed; 3-4 tbsp. chopped coriander leaves, 1 tbsp. chopped mint leaves, 1 green chilli chopped, ½ tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp. cumin seeds, 2 slices of bread, oil.
Steps:
1. Soak the bread in water and squeeze out the water completely. Mash the bread and mix it in a bowl with the mashed potatoes, chopped coriander and mint leaves, green chilli, chilli powder, cumin seeds and salt.
2. Mix well and pinch out balls from the mixture. Shape them into patties.
3. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the tikkis till they are crisp and golden.
Serve the tikkis with a spicy green chutney or sweet tamarind chutney!
