Are you surfing the net for a crispy snack? Tandla Vado is the right choice. These are crispy fritters made from rice flour. Urad dal is a store house of calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, etc.

2 cups raw rice, washed, air dried and powdered, ½ cup urad dal/split black lentils, roasted, powdered and sieved, 2 tbsp. butter, 1 tsp. cumin seeds, a pinch of turmeric, salt to taste, and oil for deep frying
1. Mix the rice and urad dal powder along with butter, turmeric, salt and cumin seeds.
2. Knead into dough using little water at a time.
3. Make tiny balls of the dough and flatten it on banana leaf.
4. Deep fry the flat disc on medium heat till golden brown on all sides. Drain excess oil on kitchen tissue towel.
5. When it cooled, store in airtight container.
Entertain with these Tandlo Vado for snacks.
