Are you looking for a healthy snack? Then Til Til Khakra would be the ideal one. This is extra healthy and delicious and also easy to prepare. Besan is rich in iron, potassium, and manganese, copper and til (sesame seeds) has good source of calcium, selenium and dietary fibre. These khakras have good shelf life and you can store them in an air-tight container for more than a fortnight.

Ingredients to make Til Til Khakra:

1 cup wheat flour, ½ cup Besan, 2 tbsp sesame seeds, 2 tbsp. roughly crushed peanuts, ½ tsp cayenne pepper, ¼ tsp turmeric, 1 tbsp kasoori methi or dry fenugreek leaves, 1 tsp oil, water required to make dough, ¼ tsp hing and salt to taste

Steps to make Til Til Khakra:

1. Combine all the ingredients in a big bowl and use water to knead into stiff dough.

2. Keep the dough covered and set it aside for 30 minutes.

3. Take a 1” diameter ball of the dough and roll the ball into a very thin disc using dry flour occasionally. Note: The thinner you roll it the crisper your khakhra will be.

4. Heat a thick pan and place the khakhra on it. When the bubbles appear all over the khakhra, flip it and using a clean balled-up kitchen towel, press down on the bubbles and keep rotating the khakhra to cook evenly.

5. When golden brown spots appear on both sides, remove and let it cool completely.
